Minister Rasim Demiri, during his visit to Montenegro, met with Kosovar entrepreneurs in Tivat

During his official visit to Montenegro, Minister Rasim Demiri, on the first day of his stay on 23.04.2026, at the invitation of the Minister of Regional Development, Investments and Cooperation with NGOs, Ernad Suljević, also held a meeting with well-known Kosovar entrepreneurs in Tivar.

The meeting took place with entrepreneurs led by Mefail Osmani, originally from Lubinja e Poshtme near Prizren.

During this meeting, in addition to being informed about the number of employees and their status, the delegation also had the opportunity to visit several new construction facilities that are in the final phase of completion.

The entrepreneurs also highlighted an important concern, which affects both their employees and all Kosovo citizens working and living in Montenegro. This concern is related to the obligation to pay for health insurance, while, in practice, health services are not fully provided by public health institutions.

(This issue was subsequently raised in contacts with the relevant institutions in Montenegro, as one of the issues that requires a solution.)

The hosts also organized a special meeting with activists from social and religious life, among whom was Suljo Mustafić.

On the third day of his stay in Montenegro, during his return to Kosovo, Minister Demiri, together with his associates, accompanied by Mr. Osmani, visited one of the crime scenes from the spring of 1945, at the end of World War II – the “Monopoli” building in the port of Tivat. At this place, a large number of mobilized, unarmed Kosovars were killed by the partisan units of that time.
