From May 13 until 15, 2026, the representative of the MRD, Dr. Refike Sülçevsi – Director of the Department for European Integration, participated in the International Congress of Balkan Cooperation, held in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey, organized by prestigious universities from Turkey and the Balkan region.
The Congress aimed to promote and advance regional cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, education, industry, trade and employment, with particular emphasis on sustainable regional development and the economic empowerment of women.
As part of the congress proceedings, Ms. Sülçevsi presented the topic: “Regional development policies and women’s participation in economic life during the post-war reconstruction process in Kosovo”, through which the challenges and perspectives of socio-economic development and the role of women in post-conflict recovery and development processes were addressed.
This congress served as an important platform for the exchange of experiences, strengthening inter-institutional dialogue and advancing cooperation between countries in the region in areas of common developmental and economic interest.
