The Acting Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development (MRD), Mr. Rasim Demiri, today hosted Mr. Samir Šibonjić, Minister of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC), Bosnia and Herzegovina, accompanied by his associates.
During the meeting, Minister Demiri introduced Minister Šibonjić to the mission and history of the MRD, from its establishment to the present day, presenting the ministry’s key programs and their impact on the development of municipalities, support for businesses, and the empowerment of civil society organizations in Kosovo.
For his part, Minister Šibonjić expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and presented the role and priorities of the ministry he leads. He emphasized the opportunities for strengthening cooperation between the two ministries, particularly in areas that could contribute to regional development and the enhancement of economic and institutional ties.
Through Minister Demiri, Minister Šibonjić conveyed his appreciation to the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, for the decision regarding the visa-free regime for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also commended the work and commitment of Minister Demiri, especially his contribution to advancing the well-being and interests of the Bosniak community in Kosovo.
Minister Demiri was accompanied at the meeting by the First Deputy Minister of the MRD, Mr. Ali Dula, as well as the Acting Secretary General of the MRD, Mr. Ylber Çitaku.
The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, with mutual readiness to advance cooperation in areas of common interest and with a positive impact on regional development.
