Today, on 02.07.2026, the Acting Minister of Regional Development, Mr Rasim Demiri, paid an official visit to the Municipality of Junik, where he was received by the Mayor of the Municipality, Mr Ruzhdi Shehu.
The visit took place within the framework of the ongoing cooperation between the Ministry of Regional Development and the Municipality of Junik, with a focus on advancing development projects and identifying priorities for the coming period.
The meeting discussed the inter-institutional cooperation, projects implemented with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development, as well as planned investments in the function of sustainable local development. Special attention was paid to the project “Construction of a sports hall in the Municipality of Junik”, which was assessed as an important investment for the development of sports infrastructure and the creation of better conditions for young people and citizens of the municipality.
Minister Demiri reiterated the commitment of the MRD to continue supporting municipalities through projects that contribute to balanced regional socio-economic development and the improvement of the quality of life of citizens.
During this visit, the Minister was accompanied by Mr. Ylber Çitaku – Acting Secretary General, Chief of Cabinet Mr. Izet Velia, Ms. Kreshnike Arifi Acting Director of DCRD and other associates.
