Today, the Acting Minister of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Rasim Demiri, was invited to the Diaspora Days event organized by the NGO Biser from Restelica, Dragash, with the financial support of the Ministry of Regional Development.
This event was attended also by the advisors of the Minister Ćerim Bajrami, Munir Jonuzi and Rejhan Elezi.
In his welcoming speech, Minister Demiri, among other things, emphasized that the diaspora is an integral part of our society and called on all those present not to forget their homeland and to preserve their identity in the countries where they temporarily work.
He also greeted all the Cultural and Artistic Societies present at this event from Sanxhak, Albania, North Macedonia and Bulgaria, as well as the Mayor of the Municipality of Mavrovo from North Macedonia.
Moreover, at the invitation of the organizers, Minister Demiri awarded several awards to successful individuals in culture and sports in this region.
After the ceremonial part and performances by the folklore ensembles of the cultural and artistic societies, the program for the numerous attendees and the young people continued with the musical repertoire of the singers and the orchestra ‘Braća Muška’ from Restelica.
