Today, on December 23, 2025, the Ministry of Regional Development organized the conference "Presentation and Promotion of Analytical Documents for Balanced Regional Socio-Economic Development, according to the development regions of Kosovo for 2024".
The conference was opened by the Acting Secretary General of the Ministry, Ms. Refike Sülçevsi, who in her opening remarks welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of analytical documents for balanced regional development. The MRD has been and remains committed to advancing cooperation between central and local institutions, the private sector and international partners. This commitment is clearly reflected in the analytical documents presented, which serve as a roadmap for balanced regional development.
The Director of the Department for Regional Performance and Analysis, Ms. Shyhrete Kastrati, presented an overview of analytical documents, emphasizing their role in policy development, strategic planning, reducing regional disparities and promoting natural resources.
Following the conference, the analyses for 2024 were presented:
• Ms. Qefsere Bajrami, Head of the Regional Analysis Division, presented the “Capital Investment Analysis by Development Regions for 2024”, which helps identify funding gaps and increase transparency for a fairer distribution of resources.
• Ms. Blinda Bytyçi, Balanced Regional Development Officer, presented the “Balanced Regional Socio-Economic Development Analysis for 2024”, which addresses measures to support the private sector, reduce regional inequalities as key pillars for promoting investment and integrated regional development.
• Ms. Fatmire Thaqi, Head of the Balanced Regional Development Performance Division, presented the “Analysis in the field of demography according to seven (7) development regions”, which reflects demographic changes and serves as a basis for planning development policies at the regional level.
The analytical documents are drafted in accordance with the Law on Balanced Regional Development and reflect capital investments, support for the private sector and socio-economic indicators according to seven development regions. The MRD remains committed to ensuring sustainable, inclusive and balanced development in all regions of Kosovo.
This conference was also attended by: representatives from KAS, representatives from line ministries, representatives from municipalities, representatives from RDA, various organizations, department directors, division heads and other MRD officials.
