Department of Regional Socio-Economic Planning and Analysis

Duties and responsibilities of the Department for Socio-economic Planning and Socio-economic Analysis are as follows:

  • Co-ordinates with the municipalities the activities for regional economic development planning, strengthening the economic and social links;
  • Encourages the communication of municipalities within the regions, in order to stimulate balanced regional socio-economic development;
  • Develops a system for measuring and monitoring balanced regional socio- economic performance;
  • Creates and maintains the reporting system related to balanced regional socio-economic development;
  • Collaborates with line ministries and other institutions regarding the drafting of analyzes for balanced socio-economic development.
  • Prepares the analysis of capital investments of central institutions realized in municipalities by region;
  • Prepare profiles of socio-economic regions;
  • Prepare analyzes for balanced regional socio-economic development

Head of Department for Socio-Economic Planning and Socio-Economic Analysis, reports to the Secretary General of the MRD.
