Legal Division

Duties and responsibilities of the Division on legal issues are:

• Provides legal support in drafting strategic and legislative documents from the scope of the ministry;
• Provides assistance in drafting primary and secondary legislation from the scope of the ministry;
• Ensures compliance with the drafting techniques and standards of legislation from the scope of the ministry;
• Ensures the harmonization of the Ministry’s legislation with the acquis communautaire, as well as applicable laws in Kosovo;
• Provides legal advice and recommendations from the scope of the ministry upon request;
• Cooperates with the Ministry of Justice for representation of the Ministry in litigation;
• The Head of the Legal Division reports to the Secretary-General.
• The number of employees in the Legal Division is one (1).
