The Ministry of Regional Development today, on 23.07.2026, organized a workshop on the topic “Achievements and challenges of the first half of 2026”, with the participation of the Acting Minister, Mr. Rasim Demiri, the First Deputy Minister, Mr. Ali Dula, the Acting Secretary General, Mr. Ylber Çitaku, department directors, division heads, Ministry officials, as well as advisors to the Minister’s cabinet.
The workshop was opened by the Acting Minister, Mr. Rasim Demiri, who in his opening speech appreciated the commitment of all organizational units during the first half of the year, emphasizing the importance of institutional cooperation, accountability and commitment in achieving the strategic objectives of the Ministry.
Following this, the Acting Secretary General, Mr. Ylber Çitaku, presented the overall achievements of the Ministry of Regional Development for the first half of 2026.
Afterwards, the directors of departments and heads of divisions presented the results of the work according to the respective fields: Ms. Refike Sulçevsi, Director of DEIPC presented the achievements of the department in the processes of European integration and policy coordination.
Ms. Shyhrete Kastrati, Director of DRPA presented the results achieved in regional socio-economic planning and analysis. Ms. Kreshnike Arifi, Acting Director of DPCRD presented the activities and progress in the coordination of regional development. Ms. Arta Ahmeti Xhylani, Director of DPS presented the achievements in the provision of administrative and support services, Ms. Shkendije Dinaj, Head of LG presented the activities and results in the legal field, Ms. Erza Haraçia, Head of DBF presented the implementation of financial and budgetary activities, Ms. Emine Hoti, Head of HRU presented the activities in human resources management and development, Ms. Arta Maloku, Head of DKP presented the activities and results in public information, institutional communication and promotion of the Ministry’s activities.
This workshop discussed the results achieved, the challenges encountered during the implementation of the activities, and identified the priorities and measures that will be taken to fulfil the objectives of the Ministry during the remainder of 2026.
The conclusions of the workshop were presented by the First Deputy Minister, Mr. Ali Dula, who also asked some important questions for specific departments and divisions related to important issues related to the functioning and development of the MRD, and then assessed the work and commitment of all organizational units, emphasizing the need to increase efficiency, strengthen institutional coordination and timely implementation of the priorities of the Ministry.
The workshop was closed by the Acting Secretary General, Mr. Ylber Çitaku, who thanked all participants for their contribution and emphasized that the recommendations and conclusions emerging from this workshop will serve as a basis for further advancing the work and successfully implementing the priorities of the Ministry of Regional Development.
