Department for European Integration and Policy Coordination
Duties and responsibilities of the Department for European Integration and Policy Coordination are:
- Provides support in co-ordinating activities for the European integration process;
- Monitor and report on the implementation of European Commission recommendations;
- Provides support for the harmonization of ministry legislation with the acquis communautaire;
- Coordinates the Ministry's activities for financial support from the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA) and other European Union funds;
- Contributes to the exchange of information in the function of the European Integration process, the field of activity of the ministries;
- Coordinates the activities of the ARD regarding the implementation of the obligations deriving from the European agenda.;
- The Head of the Department for European Integration and Policy Coordination reports to the Secretary General of the MRD.
- Within this Department are the Divisions as follows:
- Division for European Integration;
- Division for Policy Coordination;
- The number of employees in the Department for European Integration and Policy Coordination is five (5).
Directors and Departments for European Integration and Policy Coordination report to the Secretaries and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
