Regional Development Coordination Division
Duties and responsibilities of the Division for Regional Development Coordination are:
- Encourages cooperation between regions in order to identify areas that need local economic development.
- Coordinate activities in support of balanced regional socio-economic development and regeneration of new jobs;
- Prepares the model of functioning of RDAs, in cooperation with the EU office and other stakeholders;
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and other institutions for the development of economic zones with a view to balanced regional socio- economic development;
- Coordinates and monitors the implementation of IPA Programs related to regional development, in cooperation with relevant institutions.
- Identifies and coordinates donor activities;
- The Head of the Division for Regional Development Coordination reports to the Head of the Department for Regional Development.
- The number of employees in the Division for Regional Development Coordination is two (2).
The Head of the Department for Regional Development reports to the Secretary General of the MRD.
