The Ministry of Regional Development (MRD) and the Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI), organized the workshop in order to present and discuss the activities planned for implementation in the field of regional development, in 2021
The workshop was opened by the Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Enis Kervan, who thanked the staff of MRD and KLGI for the cooperation and results achieved in 2020. Minister Kervan, stressed that the year 2021 should be a year of joint commitment and devotion in achieving even greater objectives related to the advancement of balanced regional socio-economic development in Kosovo. Minister Kervan, stressed that the year 2020, although it was quite challenging due to the Covid 19 pandemic, thanks to the dedication of the staff and cooperation with local and international partners, satisfactory expectations and results have been achieved. The Minister, stressed that at the beginning of 2021, MRD will concretize series of memoranda of cooperation with local and international strategic partners, for the implementation of activities of common interest which belong to the field of regional development in Kosovo.
The participants were also greeted by the representative of the KLGI, Mr. Sadri Rrmoku, who on behalf of the KLGI presented the will and readiness to continue cooperation with the MRD, in 2021. Mr. Rrmoku, emphasized that KLGI is in the process of finalizing the three (3) year Work Plan and part of this plan is also the part which is dedicated to cooperation with the MRD. After the speech of the Minister Mr. Caravan and Mr. Rrmoku, the analysis for the implementation of the internal work plan of the MRD for 2020 was presented, as well as the objectives and activities planned for implementation in 2021 were presented and discussed. In addition to representatives from MRD and KLGI, the workshop was attended also by representatives of five (5) RDAs.
In the end, the participants identified and prepared the conclusions of this workshop, which will be included in the MRD Work Plan for 2021.
