The Government of the Republic of Kosovo, on 26.02.2021 has approved the Strategy for Regional Development 2020 - 2030 and Action Plan for its implementation. Based on Decision No. 05/67 of the Government for the approval of this Strategy, the Ministry of Regional Development and all competent institutions shall be obliged for the implementation of the Strategy and Action Plan.

Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Enis Kervan, welcomed the approval of this document and on this occasion expresses his gratitude for the commitment of the staff of the Ministry and the Inter-Institutional Working Group, who have contributed to the finalization of the document in question. MRD will carry out other follow-up actions, in the context of promoting the document and achieving precisely the objectives and activities which are defined by this Strategy.

The Strategy for Regional Development and Action Plan contain the three (3) following strategic objectives:

- Coordination of regional development policies;

- Balanced regional development and regions capable of inter-regional competition;

- Utilization of natural, cultural and human resources in the service of sustainable regional development;
