Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development (MRD) Mr. Fikrim Damka together with Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Besim Kamberaj participated today in the regular meeting of the Internal Audit Committee.

The purpose of the meeting was to report the work of the Internal Audit Committee in MRD to the Minister. Head of the Internal Audit Committee in MRD Mr. Xhevat Sefaj together with the two members of the Committee from the civil society Mr. Zendullah Gylderen and Mr. Shaqir Haliti, informed the Minister Mr. Fikrim Damka with the work of the committee so far. The Internal Audit Committee according to their responsibility to advise the Minister on issues related to the establishment and development of the general system of public financial control, risk assessment and management,

Minister z. Damka in this meeting was informed that MRD has taken all measures to implement the recommendations of the National Audit Office for 2019 and has drafted the Risk List of MRD for 2021, and has taken concrete actions to prevent especially medium and high risks warned by special departments and units in MRD.

MRD according to its legal mandate is fulfilling its responsibilities in financial reports and other financial information; internal control systems related to finance, accounting, legal and ethical compliance.
