The Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka, hosted in a meeting today the Head of the UNICEF Office in Kosovo, Mr. Murat Shahin, where they discussed the cooperation so far and the possibilities of cooperation in other joint projects.

Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka expressed his readiness for the cooperation of MRD with the UNICEF office in Kosovo, regarding the empowerment of young people through the "Internship Program", which will enable them to move more easily from school to work, in all development regions of Kosovo. Also, the Head of the UNICEF Office in Kosovo, Mr. Murat Shahin emphasized that UNICEF through its programs supports the empowerment of young people in various fields, therefore, UNICEF's cooperation with the MRD is also of particular importance in creating best practices for young people targeting the labour market through various practices in private businesses.

It was emphasized at the meeting that the Deputy Secretary General Mr. Besim Kamberaj will coordinate activities with UNICEF regarding the development of a research on internships in Kosovo and by development regions to identify practices offered by different actors, priority areas and specific internship needs of young people.
