Today, on October 1, 2021, the Ministry of Regional Development held a consultative meeting in order to draft the draft law on regional development, a meeting which was held at the invitation of the Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka, attended by Mr. Yildiray Bajram - Chief of Cabinet and other members of the leading structures of MRD.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and present the progress of the work in the framework of the draft law on regional development and to discuss the deadlines for the finalization of this process.

The meeting was opened by the Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Damka, where the meeting was then followed with a key note speech by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Besim Kamberaj. Chairperson of the Working Group Mrs. Vjendita Avdiu Musliu together with the Legal Expert engaged by GIZ and two other members of the Working Group Mr. Arbnor Sadiku and Mrs. Shkendije Dinaj, informed the Minister of MRD Mr. Fikrim Damka about the current process of drafting the draft law on regional development and discussed the schemes of the holders and the existing organizational structures and those that are planned to be regulated by this law in the future. Also during the meeting, views and strategic orientations that are supposed to be regulated by the law on regional development were discussed,  which generated constructive discussions at the meeting.

The meeting was closed by the Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka who offered his full support in the process of drafting the draft law on regional development until the completion of this process.
