Today, on October 8, 2021, MRD organized the next workshop regarding to the process of drafting the Draft Law on Regional Development. This workshop was conducted in cooperation and coordination with GIZ 

The purpose of the workshop was to discuss and present the draft Draft Law on Regional Development and to incorporate comments in the completion of the document.

The first session of the workshop started with the presentation of the comparative analysis of the Law on Regional Development of the countries of the region such as Albania, Northern Macedonia, Croatia and Slovenia, presentation which was carried out by the Legal Expert engaged by GIZ.  

The second session of the workshop continued with the presentation of models and schemes of financing regional development in the countries of the region and in Kosovo, a session which was chaired by the chair of the working group.

During the workshop, work was done in groups, where aspects of regional development financing were identified and analyzed to be addressed in the document, in order to approximate regional development policies within the draft Law on Regional Development. The second session resulted in constructive work, concrete comments and suggestions.
