The Minister of Regional Development, Fikrim Damka, together with his delegation, visited the wind power plant GÜRİŞ in Kitka, Kamenica.
Minister Damka, in the meeting with officials and representatives of GÜRİŞ, received information about GÜRİŞ projects, which is a leader in the field of energy, industry and infrastructure. GÜRİŞ representatives stressed that they want to serve Kosovo by investing in these areas, and ways to create more employment opportunities and increase investment in the future. GÜRİŞ Holding A.Ş. is one of the leading companies in Turkey in the field of construction, industry, aviation and energy.
The meeting exchanged information to develop and expand the activities of this giant investor as well as the steps to be taken to provide incentives and support to draft a guideline that will guide the development of this sector.
Officials of GÜRİŞ Holding, the largest investor in wind energy in Turkey and at the same time a leader in geothermal, stated that they have investment objectives that can be made in Kosovo and that they are engaging with highly specialized staff in this field. They also emphasized that as a company, they have started working on hybrid projects in the Municipality of Kamenica, which is also an ongoing project, an energy project which is from both wind and solar panels.
During the visit to Kitka, at the wind power plant in Kosovo with a capacity of 32.4 MW, Minister Damka wished success at work to the representatives and employees of the company GÜRİŞ.
