On 22-24 November 2021, in Gjilan, the workshop of the inter-ministerial group was held, to finalize the feasibility study on the local government. This is Phase II which will provide alternatives for the development and advancement of local self-government. This phase involved three working groups: 1. Organization and competencies of municipalities; 2. Local cooperation and democracy; and 3. Local Government Finances. The inter-ministerial group was attended by representatives from: MLGA, MRD, municipalities, DEMOS project and civil society.

In this three-day workshop, the Ministry of Regional Development was represented by Mr Xhevat Sefaj, in the capacity of the member of the Thematic Working Group 2, Cooperation and Local Democracy.
