The Ministry of Regional Development, from 03 to 05 December 2021, held the workshop in order to present the achievements, challenges of 2021 and the presentation of the Draft - Work Plan for 2022.

The workshop was attended by: Minister Mr. Fikrim Damka, Mr. Agon Dobruna Deputy Minister, Mr. Almir Veliji- Deputy Minister, Mr. Besim Kamberaj - Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Yildiray Bayram - Chief of Cabinet, Mr. Ergin Bunjaku and Mr. Ercan Silik - Advisor to the Minister, as well as Directors, Heads and other officials of the Ministry.

Initially, Minister Mr. Fikrim Damka thanked all the employees of the Ministry for the cooperation and high commitment performed during 2021. The same, emphasized that, as MSD, it is our mission and goal, the development of policies and legislation that affect the advancement of balanced regional development, therefore the contribution of each of us is necessary and indispensable in achieving the highest objectives of the Ministry, in advancing balanced regional development in Kosovo.

The workshop in question was conducted on the basis of a busy agenda divided into four (4) Sessions, where in the first session according to the agenda was the presentation of realized achievements and challenges in fulfilling the work plan of 2021, a presentation that was realized by Mr. Besim Kamberaj - Deputy Secretary General of MRD.

The second session continued with the presentations of the draft work plan for 2022, presentations made by the Heads of Units, then the works continued with the presentation of the Legislative Plan of MRD for 2022, the establishment of monitoring and reporting mechanisms for the document Regional Development Strategy 2020 2030 as well as the presentation of the advanced draft Law on Regional Development which is in the process of preliminary consultation.

The third session of the workshop continued with the presentation of the three (3) year Capital Investment Analysis and the three (3) year Balanced Regional Development Grants Analysis, to continue with the presentation and promotion of the Capital Investment Guide, Guide for subsidies - grants for businesses, and Guidelines for subsidies - grants for NGOs.

In the fourth session (4) it was worked in groups where all the needs and strategies for advancing the legal aspects, cooperation with donors were presented, where the work plan and legislative agenda of the MRD were presented, the reorganization of the MRD, the plan for capacity building as well as the plan for cooperation with donors, international partners and civil society.

At the end of the workshop were discussed and reviewed in detail the conclusions and recommendations issued during the workshop as well as their finalization and implementation according to priorities and deadlines.
