Today, on 8 December 2021, the next workshop organized by the Ministry of Regional Development (MRD) under the support of the Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) was held, the workshop aimed to promote balanced regional development, affecting the reduction of the differences that exist between different regions or less developed regions in socio-economic terms.
The workshop was opened with a speech by Mr. Blerim Hasani - Director of DPASER, who greeted all those present at the workshop organized for the most detailed discussion regarding the document “Three (3) year Draft Analysis for Capital Investments realized by development regions in Kosovo 2018-2020”. The participants were also greeted by the representative of the KLGI Institute, Mr. Sadri Rrmoku - Researcher, who on behalf of the KLGI presented the willingness and readiness to continue cooperation with the MRD.
Ms. Vjendita Avdiu Musliu - Head of the Division for Regional Development continued the workshop with presentations - Methodology of data collection and processing for the preparation of the document: “Three (3) year Analysis for Capital Investments realized by development regions in Kosovo 2018-2020” and “Three (3) year Draft Analysis for Capital Investments realized by development regions in Kosovo 2018-2020”.
The analysis addresses the distribution of capital investments of line ministries during the years 2018-2020, in relation to the five development regions: Centre, East, North, West and South. Through this, it aims to promote balanced regional development, the inclusion of all municipalities and development regions in central level capital investments.
At the end of the workshop were discussed and reviewed in detail the conclusions and recommendations issued during the workshop, recommendations which will be included in the finalization of the Analysis.
The workshop was attended by: Mr. Ergin Bunjaku - Senior Advisor to the Minister, Mr. Yildiray Bayram- Chief of Cabinet, Mr. Blerim Hasani - Director of DPASER, Mr. Sadri Rrmoku- Representative from KLGI, representatives from the Line Ministries, Municipalities, RDA, as well as other representatives from MRD.
This activity was realized within the project ‘Dialogue for European Municipalities (DEM)’ funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Kosovo.
