Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr Agon Dobruna, meets the Ambassador of the Republic of Montenegro to Kosovo, Mr Mirsad Bibović.

The meeting, alongside Deputy Minister Dobruna, was attended by Mr Yildiray Bayram, Chief of Cabinet of the Minister of Regional Development, Fikrim Damka, and Mr Blerim Hasani, Director of the Department for Regional Socio-Economic Planning and Analysis.

Deputy Minister Dobruna and Ambassador Bibović discussed a range of topics and opportunities for Kosovo-Montenegro cooperation in the field of balanced regional development. One of the reasons for holding this meeting was for Deputy Minister Dobruna to inform Ambassador Bibović regarding the organization of an international conference in the field of regional development which MRD will hold in 2022, where the Republic of Montenegro will also be invited. Regarding this activity, Mr Dobruna asked for cooperation from Ms Jusufi in terms of organizing and processing invitations and other communications through the embassy to the competent representatives of regional development of the Republic of Montenegro. Also, Deputy Minister Dobruna asked Ambassador Bibović to provide his support for the organization of an official visit of Minister Damka with the relevant counterpart Minister of the Republic of Montenegro, which, we believe, will be useful in terms of initiating or implementing any inter-institutional cooperation.

Ambassador Bibović welcomed and highly appreciated the plan of MRD for organizing an international conference in the field of regional development, emphasizing that this is a very good opportunity, whereby, in addition to exchanging experiences and good lessons in the field of regional development, concrete results can emerge from the conference in the context of initiating any inter-state or even inter-institutional cooperation between the participants in the conference. Whereas, regarding the organization of the conference and the realization of communications with the representatives of Montenegro, be it for the organization of the visit of the Minister of MRD, Mr Fikrim Damka, Mr Bibović expressed to Mr Dobruna his maximum willingness and commitment to all embassy staff. The parties agreed to continue communication regarding the concretization and implementation of activities in the future.
