Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Agon Dobruna, in the light of the meetings with ambassadors of the Western Balkan countries in Kosovo, today, on January 25, 2022, met the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Kosovo Ms. Minca Benedejcic
Together with the Deputy Minister Dobruna, the meeting was also attended by Mr. Ergin Bunjaku, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka and Ms. Vjendita Avdiu - Musliu, Deputy Director of the Department for Regional Socio-Economic Planning and Analysis.
Deputy Minister Dobruna and Ambassador Benedejcic discussed a number of topics related to the field of balanced regional development in Kosovo. In this context, Deputy Minister Dobruna informed Ambassador Benedejcic about the mandate of the Ministry of Regional Development, the achievements of 2021 and the plans for 2022. One of the topics presented by Deputy Minister Dobruna related to 2022, was the organization of an international conference in the field of regional development which MRD will conduct on March 24 - 25, 2022, where the Republic of Slovenia will be invited, too. On this activity, Mr. Dobruna asks for the cooperation of Ms. Benedejcic, for organizing and processing invitations and other communications through the Embassy to the competent representatives of regional development of the Republic of Slovenia.
After presenting the purpose of the meeting and topics of interest to both parties, Ambassador Benedejcic welcomed and positively assessed the organization of an international conference in the field of regional development, emphasizing that Slovenia has made great achievements in this field and has enough topics to present at the conference. Whereas, regarding the organization of the conference and the realization of communications with the representatives of the Republic of Slovenia, Ms. Benedejcic expressed her willingness and readiness to cooperate.
Finally, taking into account all the topics discussed and the will of the parties for cooperation, the parties agreed to have other meetings and communications in the near future.
