Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Agon Dobruna, today on 23.02.2022 met the rector of UP Mr. Naser Sahiti.

The meeting with Deputy Minister Dobruna was attended by Mr. Ergin Bunjaku, Senior Advisor to the Minister and Mrs. Vjendita Avdiu - Musliu, Deputy Director of the Department for Regional Socio-Economic Planning and Analysis. Whereas, from the other side, together with the Rector Mr. Sahiti in the meeting was also present the vice rector of UP Mrs. Mimoza Ibrani.

Deputy Minister Dobruna and Rector Sahiti discussed a number of topics related to the field of balanced regional development in Kosovo. In this context, Deputy Minister Dobruna informed the Rector about the mandate of the Ministry of Regional Development, achievements of 2021 and plans for 2022. One of the topics presented by Deputy Minister Dobruna related to 2022, was the organization of an international conference in the field of regional development which MRD will realize on 24 - 25 March 2022, where the invitation was delivered to the Rector of UP.

Rector Mr. Sahiti expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Minister Mr. Dobruna for the visit and future cooperation between MRD and UP. He also informed the Deputy Minister about the projects, which the University of Prishtina is currently treating with priority in various fields, such as quality improvement, internationalization, scientific research and teaching, and highlighted the will of UP to deepen of cooperation.

The parties agreed to continue communication regarding the concretization and implementation of a memorandum of mutual cooperation in the future.
