The Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka, today, on 7 March 2022, paid an official visit to Zagreb, where he met with the Minister of Regional Development and European Union Funds in the Republic of Croatia, Mrs. Natasha Tramishak.

The purpose of the meeting was to expand cooperation in the field of regional development, exchange of experiences and preparation of programs for access to EU funds with special emphasis on transnational programs..

Minister Damka thanked his counterpart in Croatia Mrs. Tramishak for welcoming him, he stressed that the reason for today's visit, in addition to cooperation and agreement on a memorandum of cooperation in the near future which will be signed between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Croatia in the field of Regional Development is the possibility of participation of the Ministry of Regional Development and Funds of the European Union of Croatia at the Conference on Regional Development which is organized by MRD in Prishtina on 24-25 March 2022. 

Mrs. Natasha Tramishak also thanked her counterpart Mr. Fikrim Damka who expressed readiness for cooperation in order to advance socio-economic development between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Croatia.

The joint meeting between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Croatia was also attended by Mr. Martin Berisha - Ambassador of Kosovo in Zagreb, who supported the meeting and institutional cooperation between the parties and offered his support for coordination and exchange of experiences in the field of Regional Development

The meeting continued with talks between the two countries with the discussion and exchange of experiences in the field of Regional Development, exchange of experiences and support of Croatia in transnational programs in the framework of EU territorial cooperation, as well as other issues of common interest.

The Minister Mr. Damka paid the official visit accompanied by Mr. Martin Berisha - Ambassador of Kosovo in Croatia, Mr. Agon Dobruna - Deputy Minister, Mrs. Vjendita Avdiu - Musliu - Director of the Department for Planning and Socio-Economic Analysis, Mr. Ergin Bunjaku - Senior Political Advisor to the Minister.
