On 15.03.2022, the MRD is attending the meeting of the Sub-Committee on Energy, Environment, Transport, and Regional Development, where among other things MRD expressed its position and answers to questions submitted by the European Commission about Kosovo policies, associated with regional development.

In the meeting in question, MRD was represented by Mr Arbnor Sadiku, Head of the Division of European Integration/DEIPC, who reported on the progress achieved by MRD in the following areas:

• Implementation of the Regional Development Strategy 2020-2030 as well as the Action Plan 2020-2022;
• Submission of the Draft Law on Regional Development to the government;
• Capacity building of MRD officials, regarding the implementation of regional development policies;
• Determining GDP for development regions in relation to drafting policies for economic disparities between development regions;
• The role of Regional Development Agencies.

At the end of the video conference of the Sub-Committee on Energy, Environment, Transport, and Regional Development, Mr Sadiku offered the on-going cooperation on behalf of the MRD regarding the work of the sub-committee in question.
