Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Besim Kamberaj, the Chief of the Minister's Cabinet, Mr. Yildiray Bajram, and the Head of the Division for European Integration, Mr. Arbnor Sadiku, participated in the study visit organized by the Interreg Euro-Med Transnational Program in Marseille, France.

The study visit was a good opportunity for MRD to exchange experiences and good practices regarding the possibility of Kosovo's application to become part of the Euro-Med program, as well as the options of benefiting from this program in the future.

The first meeting was held with the Managing Authority of the Euro-Med Program on 06 March 2023, where the MRD representatives were received by the Director Mrs. Tarja Richard and the Head of the Joint Secretariat of the program, Mr. Curzio Cervelli. The attendees were briefed on the Euro-Med Program, the programming process, financing, project management, communication with the various actors and the project control and monitoring process. Furthermore, the French representative for this program, who is also a member of the Monitoring Committee, presented the role of this committee in the program’s implementation.

The second meeting was held on 07 March 2023 with the MedPlan organization, where the Kosovo representatives were received by Mrs. Marie Romani, executive secretary of the organization and her colleagues. This organization has 21 member states. At the meeting, the role of this organization and the possibilities for the MRD to be involved in activities implemented through this organization were discussed.

From all the meetings, the possibility of cooperation and exchange of experience as well as participation in the activities of the Euro-Med program was emphasized.
