On 17 May 2023, within the Youth Environmental Impact (YENI) project co-financed by the Ministry of Regional Development and the Swiss Caritas Office in Kosovo, the Eco Club of the Upper Secondary School of Medicine “Dr. Ali Sokoli”, in cooperation with the implementing partner Green Art Center, has developed and implemented the environmental project "Students for the Environment".
The general goal of the project is to take care of the environment and the surroundings of the school premises, reducing the use of components that damage the environment through raising awareness through the activities and contributions of the Eco-Club. Making the school a green school in terms of saving water, electricity and raising individual awareness, through the development of advocacy activities (lectures and discussions, videos, posters, etc.) that address the ways that everyone can have an impact positive in the current climate situation.
As a result of the implementation of the project, the students of USSM "Dr. Ali Sokoli", together with those of the Upper Secondary School of Music "Prenk Jakova", have become initiators alongside the Eco-Club for new changes in favor of the environment.
On that occasion, those present greeted them; The director of SH.MM, Mr. Flamur Bujupi, the representative of Caritas Swiss office in Kosovo, Mrs. Fjolla Caka, MRD representative Mr. Shani Hamitaga and the representative of Green Art Center, Mr. Adhurim Hoxha, who shared his gratitude.
