Today, 18 May 2023, the Ministry of Regional Development, represented by Mrs. Arta Maloku, Leader of the DPC, participated in the conference marking the Global Accessibility Day organized by the Kosovo Informatics Society (KIS) and the Association of the Blind of Kosovo .

At the conference, KIS published the report of the study on accessibility of the websites of public institutions in line with international standards. It was underscored that the fulfillment of these standards is essential for persons with disabilities and in particular for blind persons.

The Ministry of Regional Development was rewarded with a certificate of acknowledgement for the access and services it offers on its official website, out of the 66 websites of public institutions that were tested.

In her word, Mrs. Arta Maloku, Head of the DPC, thanked the organizers for the acknowledgement and emphasized that the MRD will continue to be transparent and accessible and offer easier access to persons with disabilities and all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
