EUSAIR session – youth competition of business ideas 2023 - (Adriatic-Ionian Technology Parks), in function of increasing competences and skills in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
Head of the Division for European Integration in the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Arbnor Sadiku, participated virtually in this session of the youth competition of business ideas 2023 (Adriatic-Ionian technological parks), where it was further emphasized that the lack of labor force skilled workers is one of the dominant obstacles to the economic growth and competitiveness of the region.
In the Adriatic-Ionian region, the development of skills in higher education constitutes one of the main challenges and concerns for the future. The IPA ADRION program can support and strengthen cooperation among stakeholders to increase knowledge and competences aimed at developing employability skills, focusing on the widespread adoption of more eco-friendly approaches to economic production and consumption, which is changing the nature of work and, consequently, the skills required by many workers. While the green economy presents a challenge on the one hand, it offers considerable potential for job creation, on the other hand. Developing skills for green jobs is crucial to ensuring an effective transition to a green economy by matching the supply and demand for skills.
This meeting was a good opportunity for the MRD to follow and exchange experiences and good practices related to the support of businesses from transnational programs of IPA ADRION JONIAN.
