On 01 June 2023, within the Youth Environmental Impact (YENI) project co-financed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Caritas Switzerland Office in Kosovo, the Eco Club in cooperation with the implementation partner Green Art Center has developed and implemented the environmental project "Increase of green spaces and functionalization of the corner for the Eco Club".

The general goal of the project is to take care of the environment and the surroundings of the school spaces, reducing the use of components that harm the environment through the contribution of the Eco-Club. Transforming the school into a green school in terms of saving water, electricity and raising individual awareness, through the development of, advocacy activities, videos and discussions, are ways through which everyone can have an impact positive in the current climate situation.

As a result of the implementation of the project, the students of the "Aleksandër Xhuvani" Gymnasium became aware of the environment, becoming initiators of change alongside the Eco-Club in favor of the environment.

At the event, the participants were addressed by the Director of the Gymnasium, Mr. Liridon Mulliqi, the Director of Caritas Switzerland, Mr. Gerhard Schaumberger, who distributed certificates of appreciation, the Director of Education of the Municipality of Podujeva, Mr. Avni Fetahu, the representative of the MRD, Mr. Shani Hamitaga and the representative of Green Art Center, Mr. Adhurim Hoxha.

The YENI project is co-financed by the Ministry of Regional Development, the Swiss Caritas Office in Kosovo and the Municipal Education Directorate of the Municipality of Podujeva.
