The Ministry of Regional Development held on 07 July 2023 a one-day workshop aimed at presenting implementation of the work plan and challenges of the MRD for 2023. The workshop was attended by: Mr. Fikrim Damka, Minister, Mr. Ali Tafarshiku, Deputy Minister, Mr. Besim Kamberaj, Deputy Secretary General, political advisers to the Minister and directors of departments, heads of divisions and special units and officials of the Ministry of Regional Development. First of all, Minister Fikrim Damka thanked all the employees of the Ministry for their cooperation and high commitment. The Minister emphasized that during this period the MRD has received positive evaluations from various organizations in terms of transparency. The Minister stated that this year the Draft Law on Balanced Regional Development was approved in the Assembly in the first reading and passed the procedures in the parliamentary committees in the second reading. He further mentioned the calls launched by the MRD for the three programs and a series of documents and analyzes that represent a solid documentation for the field of regional development. The Minister further stated that recently the Government approved the Regional Development Strategy Action Plan 2023-2025. The workshop had a busy agenda divided into four (4) sessions. The presentation of achievements and challenges in fulfilling the six-month work plan of 2023 was given in the first session by Mr. Besim Kamberaj, Deputy Secretary General of the MRD. In the second and third sessions of the workshop, presentations were delivered on the achievements and challenges of fulfilling the 2023 work plan by all departments and special divisions of the MRD. In the fourth (4th) and last session, the main activities of the MRD and the next steps for 2023 were discussed.
