Today, 25 August 2023, the information session and workshop on the Call for Project Ideas for Capital Investments organized by the Ministry of Regional Development (MRD) was held.

The workshop was opened by Mr. Besim Kamberaj, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Regional Development, who greeted those present at the workshop and emphasized that this workshop will be a good opportunity to jointly discuss the possibilities for a sustainable socio-regional economy.

In the introductory speech of this event, the Deputy Minister of MRD, Mr. Tafarshiku, thanked those present and emphasized that it is a good opportunity to jointly discuss the possibilities for a sustainable regional socio-economic development and the implementation of projects in practice.

The purpose of the workshop and preparatory information session on the Call for Project Ideas for capital investments was to inform and discuss with public officials of the municipalities regarding the guide for applicants of capital investment projects that will promote a balanced socio-economic development of the regions in Kosovo.

At the workshop, Mr. Butrint Marmullaku, Deputy Head of the Division for Project Management in MRD, presented the Guidelines for Applicants for RDP 2024, including the objectives of the call for proposals, application method, criteria, documentation and deadlines.

The workshop continued with an open discussion of the project proposals from the directors of the municipal directorates, including the obstacles and challenges faced by the municipalities.

In the third and last session of the workshop, the Deputy Minister of MRD, Mr. Tafarshiku, and the Secretary General of the MRD, Mr. Besim Kamberaj, thanked the representatives of the municipal directorates and all those present for the contribution made in the information session and the workshop on the call for project ideas for capital investments 2024 drawing conclusions, recommendations and steps to be taken in the future.
