On 17.01.2024, the Deputy Minister of Regional Development Mr. Ali Tafarshiku met the new ambassador of the Republic of Albania Prof. Petrit Malaj.

During the meeting, Mr. Tafarshiku and Mr. Malaj discussed the cooperation between the two parties. Specifically, he informed Mr. Malaj about the "Common Market" project between Kosovo and Albania, which will begin to be built this year in Gjakova, the activities of the Ministry of Regional Development, projects and programmes, capital investments, business and civil society support as well as the processes of advancing strategic policies implemented by the Ministry of Regional Development.

They also agreed on cooperation between the two countries and on the areas which they intend to strengthen in order to enhance the balanced regional socio-economic development in Kosovo.
