The regular meeting of the Internal Audit Committee (IAC) of the Ministry of Regional Development (MRD) was held on 29 January 2024.

The meeting was chaired by the MRD Chairman of the Internal Audit Committee, Mr. Xhevat Sefaj.

The purpose of this meeting was: 1. Review of the IAC Annual Report for 2023; 2. Review of the IAC Annual Plan for 2024; and 3. Review of the Strategic Plan 2024-2026.

The Head of the MRD Internal Audit Division, Ms. Sabajete Kabashi, presented the Annual Report for 2023, the Annual Plan for 2024, and the Strategic Plan for 2024-2026. She further informed the participants in the meeting that the Internal Audit strategic documents have been submitted to the Head of the SSP, IAC and CHUIA/MFLT within the legal deadline, as well as briefed them on the implementation of the work plan in accordance with the planning for 2023.

As a conclusion from this meeting, it was decided that MRD would prioritize addressing the recommendations arising from the reports of the MRD Internal Audit Unit.

The meeting was attended by: the Minister of MRD, Mr. Fikrim Damka, Ms. Sabajete Kabashi - Head of the Internal Audit Division, Mr. Xhevat Sefaj - Chairman of the Internal Audit Committee, Mr. Zejnullah Gylderen - Member of IAC, and Mr. Shaqir Haliti - Member of IAC.
