The Deputy Minister of Regional Development Mr. Ali Tafarshiku, today on 12.02.2024, received in an official meeting the Deputy Foreign Minister of Albania Mr. Besart Kadia, with whom he talked about deepening cooperation and creating opportunities in order to develop socio-economic advancement balanced regional between Kosovo and Albania.

During this meeting, Deputy Minister Tafarshiku informed Deputy Minister Mr. Kadia in more detail about the new development policies of this year, in the framework of which they discussed the cooperation of the two parties, specifically they discussed the implementation of the "Common Market" project that will be built in Gjakova, the activities of the Ministry of Regional Development, projects and programs, capital investments, support of businesses and civil society as well as the processes of advancing the strategic policies implemented by the Ministry of Regional Development.

The parties agreed on cooperation between the two countries and on the areas in which we intend to strengthen them in function of balanced regional socio-economic advancement between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Albania.

In this meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Albania was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in Kosovo, Mr. Petrit Malaj, Director of Economic Diplomacy MFA, Mrs. Silvana Leskaj, Minister,  Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Albania, Mrs. Pranvera Teli and Specialist Mr. Serxho Matraku in the Directorate of Economic Diplomacy, while from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the following officials: Mr. Besim Kamberaj - Acting Secretary, Mr. Ylber Çitaku - Deputy Director of DRD, Mrs. Arta Maloku – Head of DPC, Mrs. Kreshnike Arifaj - Deputy Head of the Regional Development Coordination Division and Mrs. Fllanza Murakola - Professional Associate.
