Within the framework of the YENI project co-funded by the Ministry of Regional Development and the Swiss Caritas Office in Kosovo, the Youth's Impact on the Environment. On 03.05.2024, the Eco Club of the High School "Dardania" in Hani i Elezit in cooperation with the implementing partner "CEDE" has developed and implemented the beneficial environmental project of the competition for the second-place award "Dervish Rozhaja" 2023.

The purpose of this activity was to inaugurate the implementation of the environmental benefit project of the second place "Dervish Rozhaja" 2023 of the Eco club of the high school "Dardania" in Hani i Elezit and to promote the investments completed within the project, financed by Swiss Ministry of Regional Development and Caritas, Office in Kosovo.

As a result of this award won, "Dardania" High School has been equipped with opportunities for planting green spaces, ecological waste bins (wooden) and wooden seats. These investments will bring a cleaner environment to the students of the said school and of some other institutions within the district, as well as to the entire community, because the investment was made in due position and it pertains a municipality where pollution from cement has a big impact on the environment.

On that occasion, the moderation and presentation of the project were performed by the students of the Eco Club of the school in question. Besides the students and teachers of this school, this ceremony was also attended by the Mayor, Mr. Ballazha; Director of the Directorate of Education, MDR representative, Shani Hamitaga, YENI project representative from Swiss Caritas, Mr. Bardh Xerxa, and Representatives of the NGO "CEDE".
