Environmental Award for Schools "Dervish Rozhaja ".- It was first launched in 2023 and only the beneficiary schools of the YENI project had the right to apply, while in this edition all the high schools of Kosovo had the right to apply.
Its main goal is to empower the youth of Kosovo to act on environmental issues and climate change by encouraging a more responsible and pro-active attitude, and to directly engage them in the implementation of concrete small environmental and climate projects in their schools.
Draft-ideas are evaluated based on criteria such as: Importance, Environmental Impact, Sustainability, Innovation and Financial Offer/Budget
The evaluation jury consisted of: Dr. Isa Elezaj (University of Pristina “Hasan Prishtina”), M.Sc. Shani Hamitaga (Ministry of Regional Development), Dr. Lumta Dida (NGO Climate Airiness Association ), Dr. Sami Behrami (Environmental Protection Agency of Kosovo) and PhD cand. Fjollë Caka (YENI Project, Swiss Caritas in Kosovo.
After the analysis of each project separately, the Evaluation Jury is determined for the beneficiary projects to be made public on June 13 in the organization of the ceremony, for which will be notified in advance by the Swiss Caritas office.
