On 30 May 2024, the Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka, accompanied by his associates, met the senior officials of the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC), Mr. Mattia Poretti, Deputy Head of Sector for Eastern Europe, and Mr. Lukas Rüttimann, Manager of the Program for Eastern Europe in the framework of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bern, Switzerland. The meeting discussed the cooperation so far on the MARDI and YENI programs co-financed by SDC and MRD, and the possibility of cooperation in the future.

On 31 May 2024, Minister Damka and his associates continued their visit to the Innovation Park in Zurich where they met with the chief executive officer of this institution and visited the premises of the innovation park which is considered a development potential.

The Minister was accompanied by Acting Secretary General, Mr. Besim Kamberaj, Director of the Department for European Integration and Policy Coordination, Mrs. Refike Sulčevsi, Acting Director of the Department for Regional Development, Mr. Ylber Çitaku, and advisor to the Minister, Mr. Ercan Silik.

The meetings were also attended by Mrs. Sandra Ege, Swiss Caritas Program Director Kosovo, Mr. Bardh Xerxa, Manager of the YENI Project and Mr. Shetim Shujaku , Manager of the MARDI Project.
