On 24.07.2024, Minister Damka hosted the Mayor of Ankara of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Mansur Yavaş . During the meeting, issues related to regional development and cooperation were discussed. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Mesut Özarslan , Mayor of Keçiören and Mr. Halil İbrahim Yılmaz, Chairman of the Ankara City Council.

During the meeting, cooperation between the ministry and local government, infrastructure projects, applications for environmentally friendly cities and objectives for sustainable development were particularly emphasized. Mr. Fikrim Damka expressed the desire to benefit from Turkey's experiences in the field of urban planning and city management. In this context, he was informed about the successful projects and applications of Ankara Municipality. Also, Damka provided information on Kosovo's development projects and expressed the desire to expand cooperation with Turkey.

Mr. Mansur Yavaş , on his side, emphasized the importance of continuing friendly relations at the local government level. He expressed the readiness of the Municipality of Ankara to contribute to the development projects of Kosovo and to share their experiences. Yavaş also stressed the need to increase cultural and social cooperation.
