Today, on 29.07.2024, the Department for Performance and Regional Analysis presented to the Cabinet of the Minister and the Leading Staff of the MRD “Draft-Analysis of Balanced Regional Socio-Economic Development in Kosovo for the year 2023” .

The draft analysis reflects the distribution of investments in the private sector from the Grant Scheme of the Balanced Regional Development Program for the year 2023 by the Ministry of Regional Development as well as the implementation of similar programs by the line ministries (MAFRD and MIET) based on (7) development regions in Kosovo.

This analysis addressed the following: the number of business applications according to (7) development regions and municipalities; number of beneficiaries (businesses) according to (7) development regions and municipalities; the financial value of the financing for the beneficiary businesses; the value of co-financing from the beneficiary businesses; the most financed beneficiary sectors according to (7) development regions; the number of new jobs created by the beneficiary businesses; the number of beneficiaries according to the lots supported by the Program (BRDP); the number of beneficiaries by ethnicity by development regions; number of beneficiaries by gender by development regions; municipalities that have benefited the most from projects according to development regions and municipalities that have not benefited.

The reduction of regional disparities through the balanced distribution of financial resources in (7) development regions as well as through the inclusion of less developed countries remains a priority for the Ministry of Regional Development to promote sustainable regional economic development.
