Today, on 16.09.2024, the Minister of Regional Development, Mr Fikrim Damka, and the Mayor of Kamenica, Mr Kadri Rrahimaj, inaugurated the Technology Park of Kamenica, a project co-financed by MRD, which covers the total project value of 250,000 euros. MRD has allocated 150,000 euros for this project and the Municipality of Kamenica has contributed 54,881.35 euros.

Minister Mr Damka emphasized that the Technology Park is much more than a physical structure. It is a step towards developing a culture of innovation and technology in Kamenica.

In this space, we will create opportunities for the development of digital skills, the promotion of start-ups, and the encouragement of young entrepreneurs, who will be an active part of technological developments at the national and international levels.

The Government and the Ministry of Regional Development will always provide continuous support and create favourable conditions for the development of innovative ideas in the technology park, guaranteeing that every entrepreneur and innovator has access to the resources and support necessary to realize their projects successfully.

Minister Mr Damka at the end thanked the President, Mr Rrahimaj for the cooperation, and expressed the readiness for even wider cooperation in the following years. He also thanked all those who have contributed to the realization of this project and specifically congratulated Cacttus Education, which won the public auction and is in charge of the management of this park.

The Minister was accompanied by the Acting Secretary General, Mr Besim Kamberaj, the Minister's political advisors, Mr Ercan Silik and Mr Muaz Kazazi, and other staff members of the MRD.
