On September 17, 2024, the Minister of Regional Development Fikrim Damka, received in a meeting the new ambassador of the European Union in Kosovo, Mr Aivo Orav.

During the meeting, the possibilities of close cooperation between Kosovo and the European Union in various fields of regional development were discussed.

Minister Damka congratulated Ambassador Orav on his new assignment and emphasized the importance of the EU's continued support in improving the infrastructure and promoting the socio-economic development of the regions in Kosovo. During the meeting, it was also discussed about the existing projects and the possibilities for their expansion in order to improve the well-being of the citizens of Kosovo.

On the other hand, Ambassador Orav expressed his willingness to work closely with Kosovo's institutions, emphasizing common priorities for regional development.

The parties agreed to continue cooperation in the future with the aim of improving the lives of citizens and promoting sustainable socio-economic development in the country.
