On September 30, 2024, the Deputy Minister of Regional Development Mr Ali Tafarshiku, paid an official visit to the municipality of Gjakova, thus visiting the place where the works for the renovation and digitization of services in the "Bus Station in Gjakova" will commence.
This capital project is co-financed by the Ministry of Regional Development and the municipality of Gjakova, which aims to improve the infrastructure and quality of public transport services by adapting them to modern digital standards.
During the visit, the deputy minister took the time and visited the completed project, also supported by the MRD, "The road that connects the village of Shqiponjë with the village of Llugaxhi".
This infrastructure project is of great importance for the local residents of the municipality of Gjakova and the municipality of Peja, improving the connection and mobility between the two villages and positively influencing the regional development of this area.
At the end of the visit, Mr Tafarshiku together with the Deputy Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Mr Agon Dobruna, held a meeting with some of the local businesses in the municipality of Gjakova that continue to preserve and promote the craft tradition of the city.
The Ministry of Regional Development has for the first time allocated funds for the support of cultural heritage and the promotion of socio-economic growth of craft businesses in the country.
