Today, on 15.10.2024, the Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka, together with the Mayor of Deçan, Mr. Bashkim Ramosaj, inaugurated the joint “Cultural Heritage Centre” project in Deçan.

This centre is a new space that will serve for the preservation, promotion and development of cultural heritage, providing opportunities for exhibitions, seminars and educational activities for all age groups of the municipality of Deçan.

During the visit to Deçan, Minister Damka together with the Mayor Mr. Ramosaj also inaugurated the "Development of Tourism in the Municipality of Deçan - Tourist Products in the Alpine Village of Bjeshkatar" project, a project co-financed by MRD and the municipality of Deçan which aims to develop the potential tourism of this mountainous area, attracting visitors and promoting the natural beauty and local traditions.

Minister Damka emphasized the importance of these projects for preserving the cultural identity and promoting economic development in rural areas, as well as expressed his commitment to continue supporting initiatives that improve the lives and well-being of citizens of all regions of Kosovo.

During the visit to the municipality of Deçan, the Minister was accompanied by Dr. Besim Kamberaj, Secretary General of MRD, Mr. Ylber Çitaku, Acting Director of the DRG, and other co-workers from MRD.
