The Ministry of Regional Development (MRD) from November 7-9, 2024, held a three-day workshop for drafting and improving the Institutional Strategic Plan for the period 2025-2027 and for the Review of the NDP for the period 2025-2027.

Among the participants attending this workshop were Deputy Ministers Ali Tafarshiku and Elldin Uglari, General Secretary of MRD Besim Kamberaj, Ms. Armenda Berani-Shala from the Office of the Prime Minister, Mr. Visar Rushiti - expert from SIGMA, as well as Directors of Departments and Heads of special Units of the MRD.

The workshop was opened by the General Secretary of MRD, Besim Kamberaj, who emphasized that the purpose of the workshop is the finalization of the Draft Institutional Strategic Plan of the MRD, including the definition of the strategic objectives of regional development, the establishment of operational objectives for 2025, and the harmonization of the National Plan for Regional Development for the period of 2025 -2027.

The workshop was carried out according to the three-day agenda and aimed at the preparation and improvement of the Institutional Strategic Plan, where intensive work was carried out in three main strategic directions:

Reviewing the long-term goals of the MRD in the context of the regional development of Kosovo, based on the Strategy on Regional Development 2020-2030.

Determining the Operational Objectives for the Strategic and Institutional Plan for the years 2025-2027. Determining priority activities for the first year of the plan, setting clear deadlines for their realization and dividing responsibilities between the relevant departments; and

Reviewing the National Plan on Regional Development (NDP) for the period 2025-2027 - Ensuring the harmonization of the NDP with the current and future needs for regional development, emphasizing the role of MRD in the advancement of the country's strategic projects.
