Today, on December 10, 2024, Mr. Besim Kamberaj, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Regional Development, participated in the closing ceremony of the three-year Municipal Action for Reintegration and Diaspora (MARDI) project organized by Caritas Switzerland in Kosovo.
In his speech, Mr. Kamberaj emphasized the importance of the results achieved through successful partnerships and expressed the Ministry's ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen regional development, improve quality of life, and strengthen ties with the diaspora. He praised the MARDI project as an excellent example of collaboration that brings about concrete changes and creates sustainable foundations for long-term development.
On the other hand, Dr. Gerhard Schaumberger, a representative of Caritas Switzerland in Kosovo, highlighted the importance of collaboration between state institutions and international organizations. He thanked all partners for their commitment and support during the project’s implementation.
The MARDI project aimed to address the challenges of reintegration and inclusion of the diaspora in regional development.
It was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development, Caritas Switzerland in Kosovo, the Swiss Development Agency (SDC), and the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein.
