The Ministry of Regional Development held its annual workshop from December 13th to December 15th, 2024, with the goal of presenting the achievements and challenges from the internal work plan for 2024. Minister Mr. Fikrim Damka began by thanking all Ministry employees for their cooperation and high commitment throughout 2024. These results were achieved through the dedication of the MRD staff, where we successfully completed the legal framework for balanced regional development by adopting the law and sub-legal acts, implementing projects, drafting strategic documents, cooperating with donors, and organizing conferences in the field of balanced regional development.

The workshop was conducted according to a tight agenda divided into four (4) sessions. In the first session (1), the Secretary General of the Ministry of Regional Development, Mr. Besim Kamberaj, presented the achievements and challenges in meeting the work plan for 2024.

The second (2) and third (3) sessions included presentations from all departments and special divisions of the Ministry of Regional Development, as well as the introduction of the new work plan for 2025.

During the fourth (4) session, the analysis of the work plan for 2025 was discussed. The conclusions and recommendations arising during the workshop were thoroughly reviewed, along with their finalization and implementation according to priorities and deadlines.

The workshop concluded with general conclusions on the achievements of 2024 and recommendations for 2025.

Furthermore, Minister Mr. Fikrim Damka, along with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Regional Development Mr. Besim Kamberaj, awarded recognitions to distinguished officials of 2024: Ms. Gentiana Hasani - Archive Officer, Mr. Hashim Ibishi - Regional Development Coordination Officer, Ms. Alma Ademi - European Integration Officer, and Ms. Blinda Bytyçi - Balanced Regional Development Officer.

The workshop was attended by Minister - Mr. Fikrim Damka, Deputy Minister - Mr. Ali Tafarshiku, Deputy Minister - Mr. Elldin Uglari, Secretary General - Mr. Besim Kamberaj, Advisors to the Minister of MRD, Department Directors, Heads of Special Divisions, Heads of Divisions, and other officials of the Ministry.
