Deputy Minister of Regional Development Mr. Ali Tafashiku, from 03 to 05 April 2025, paid an official visit to Montenegro.

During the three-day visit, Mr. Tafashiku met with the Ambassador of Kosovo to Montenegro Ms. Ariana Zherka, the Mayor of Ulcinj Mr. Genci Nimanbegu, as well as with other leaders of local institutions.

During the meetings, the Deputy Minister presented the joint Kosovo - Albania project "Albanian Common Market" which will be implemented in Gjakova-Morinë, and the discussions focused on the possibilities of cooperation between Albanian businesses from Kosovo, Albania and Montenegro as well as the inclusion of specific traditional products of Albanian regions in this common market.

Deputy Minister Mr. Tafashiku during the official visit to Montenegro was accompanied by Mr. Shani Hamitaga - Head of the Division for Development and Coordination of Regional Initiatives at the MRD.
