On 16 May 2025, the Acting Minister of Regional Development, Mr. Fikrim Damka, conducted a visit to the Municipality of Gjakova, where he was received by the Mayor, Mr. Ardian Gjini.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss inter-institutional cooperation and joint projects in support of sustainable regional development, with special emphasis on the “Bus Station” project, which is being implemented with the support of the MRD and the Municipality of Gjakova and aims to improve public transport infrastructure and services for citizens.

The parties discussed the progress of the works, the challenges encountered during implementation, and the next steps toward the successful completion of the project. During the meeting, they also addressed the possibilities for new joint projects in the future, with the aim of deepening cooperation and ensuring the continued support of the Municipality of Gjakova by the MRD.

Following the meeting, Minister Fikrim Damka, along with Deputy Minister Ali Tafarshiku, the Director of DRDPC, Mr. Ylber Çitaku, and other associates, carried out a field visit to the “Bus Station” project. During the visit, they were welcomed by the Chief Executive of the Bus Station, Mr. Agron Hoxha, and were briefed on-site regarding the progress of the works and the upcoming phases of the project.
